In support of student, faculty and staff owned laptops C+TS operates a wireless network broadcasting various SSID names:
- ACADSecure - allows ACAD users secure access to network resources at the fastest speeds
- ACADGuest - allows visitors access to a limited range of services at reduced speeds
- eduroam – allows visitors from other eduroam-enabled campuses to connect while at ACAD, and ACAD staff/students to connect while visiting other eduroam campuses
How To Connect To ACADSecure:
choose ACADSecure from the list of available Wi-Fi hotspots
enter your username (firstname.lastname) and password (NA2 account password)
How To Connect To ACADGuest:
Note: choosing ACADGuest while on the ACAD campus results in slower speeds and fewer services than connecting to ACADSecure. Choose ACADSecure when available.
choose ACADGuest from the list of available Wi-Fi hotspots
acknowledge the “Acceptable Use” pop up
How To Connect To eduroam:
Note: choosing eduroam while on the ACAD campus results in slower speeds and fewer services than connecting to ACADSecure. Choose ACADSecure when available.
choose eduroam from the list of available Wi-Fi hotspots
enter your username (firstname.lastname@example.org) and password (NA2 account password)
If promted for EAP Type, choose PEAP
If prompted for Authentication Method choose MS-CHAPv2
If prompted to accept a certificate from acad9016.ACAD.local, click on “Trust”
Uncheck the option for connecting automatically
